Zebra Danio just lying on bottom.

Hi, my Zebra Danio is just laying on the bottom.

I don't know whats wrong with him, he was fine a few days ago.

The ammonia/nitrites/nitrates are fine.

He seems very weak, when I put him in the hospital tank with my net, he got somewhat stuck and didn't even try to struggle to get out.

He does have a bit of fin rot, so I put some Metafix inside the hospital tank...

Any help would be appreciated... Thanks..

Do you mean Melafix? That should help. Dose 5mL/10g everyday for 7 days and then do a 25% water change.

I checked on him today and he was gone! I don't know were he went!

Was he alone in the hosp tank? Check the filter.

Um... I know I shouldn't have done this, but the hospital tank was inside the bigger tank. I was afraid it was so small that the water would drop down to the 60s overnight.

However, my bigger tank had bubble stones on the bottom. Some bubbles accumulated on the bottom of the smaller tank and it tipped it over. The hospital tank sank.

Now, I am unable to find my zebra danio... I don't know if he jumped out, which wasn't possible because the lid was closed.

The hosp tank was inside the main tank? What size are the tanks? You may want to invest in a 5 or 10g hosp tank with a heater and filter.
