With caution at first that should work. What size tank? The bigger the tank the better the chances of it workin out. But plecos are pretty

Eh......the larger pleco might be alright but your jack may grow faster and you could end up in the same situation. Do you have an algae problem.

It's not really a problem but once the pleco was gone I could easily tell that it may become a problem.

Maybe it's just me, but pleco can be nasty and when my jacks tore the last one to shreds it just wasn't worth it to keep feeding their aggression. Long term, even if you can make the pleco work with her, the pleco will outgrow the tank. They get huge. If you do it, try to rearrange the tank and then add the pleco. That way ole girl maybe less likely to rip him a new one.

That's a good thing. She hasn't established a territory yet so his chances for survival are greatly increased. Don't get me wrong, she will soon get adjusted and will think the whole tank is hers but since she thinks she's in a new place she may accept him easier.

You'll probably be ok. Lots of people with no knowledge of fish keeping accidentally make far worse stocking selections work out. Your chances are good since the pleco are usually pretty passive and will run from the first signs of a butt kicking bout to go down. Just keep an eye on them and if she starts to pester him, take away her pone and credit cards. Only way to punish a woman IMO!
