I did a major clean on all the tanks in the fish room today. I polished up the outside glass to get rid of drip marks. But the water was a bit cloudy still from the wipe down on the inside of the tank. I took a few pics anyway. Just a few quick snaps on the phone camera.

Awesome fish man! Do you by chance keep any fish from the ACA CARES list?

Thanks HN1.

I looked up the list. I don't keep any of those. And I'm not sure that any on the list are even available in Australia.

I know that all Oreochromis and all Tilapia except T. buttikoferi are declared noxious and heavy fines apply for possession of these fish.

Oooweee that's a pretty fish! I hadn't even thought about the different restrictions over there.

In Queensland, 1 species of Tilapia and 1 species of Oreochromis are in plague proportions. Not just the odd cichlid here or there either. Almost every waterway has them in the affected areas, out competing native fish.

I guess it will become like Florida with oscars, midas cichlids, peacock bass, red devils gone feral.
