? About my jack dempsey

When I got him a week ago he was light color with bright color scales and now he is dark almost black anyone know why ??

I think he was stressed so his color wasn't as dark then ..but my boyfriend thinks something is wrong with him

When jacks are stressed they are very pale. Sounds like your fish is settling in and the darker color mean its not stressed out anymore. Pretty sure it's fine.
