Algae in cichlids tank

I'm just curious of how many people like algae in cichlids tank.
I'm currently in the process of turning my brown diatoms into the good old green algae we all know.
However it does make your tank cloudy with all the diatoms floating around.

I'm having the same problem, but my tank is full if green algae.

Not a huge fan of algae as I have planted tanks but certain fish such as Tropheus for example can benefit from it as they will munch on it all day long. If it is a problem try an ancistrus or two
