Any way to put plants with mbuna?

Are there any types of plants I can put with mbuna? I want something to give my tank a little something extra. The dark rocks and brown sand is a little too boring for me.

Silk or plastic are the best bet, mbuna will eat just about anything live.

In my experiance a fast growing floater like duckweed or something you only need the rotos in like a pothos vine. I have had success with growing some plants emersed in my cichlid tank They kept the roots neatly trimed for me.

They seem to stay away from tougher leaved plants like anubias, besides that there isn't much else that won't be destroyed.
