Apistogramma Panduro in her Spawning Cave

Saw some activity with my wild caught apistogramma panduro female, so I grabbed the camera. Im almost certain that there are eggs in the cave with her. Hopefully fry to come soon! I think it is some great cave spawner behavior.

I had fry, but they got cooked when I added a heater, then I lost them one by one after that. On top of it their mom jumped a few days after, so this is the new girl!

There was indeed fry, they are out and free swimming with the careful watch of mom. Small clutch of only about 5 but not bad for the first time around

Apistogramma Panduro in her Spawning Cave

The Appistogramma species has got to be one of the most stunning fish out there! Would love to have a trio sadly my rainbow shark thinks otherwise! Love your fish too! Looks like she's got lots of spunk!
