Are cichlids more active at night?

It seems to me that my cichlids are much more active at night. They seem to always be swimming more, and are more eager to eat.

My blues stay on an additional 2 hrs. after my t5's shut off..while still in the blues they remain fairly active but when the blues shut off they settle down..

they can be as the shy ones tend to get brave in the dark. also the secret bullies attack, like my auratus gal would only attack when the lights were out. and my OB zebra only likes swimming (and harrassing) in the dark.

my oscars let me know when its time for bed by settling in their corner, so its not that darkness means they are more active for all cichlids x
