Assorted african cichlids?

So all these stores have assorted cichlid tanks which mainly consist of these random cichlids that are either orange or an off white. Occasionally you'll find a kenyi or yellow lab in there. What kind of cichlids are these? I can't figure it out. They kind of look like off-color labs or something.

I want to say they are cross bred and they don't know either. Not sure but that's my opinion. I have a few. And you really can't tell what they are.
