I have several large tanks and some small ones. There are those moments when you need to remove a certain fish for one reason or another. It used to take me at least a half an hour chasing the fish from one side of a 6ft tank to the other. I also always ended up remove tons of decorations and slopping water all over the floor.
A few nights ago a figured out a way to get them to swim right into my net. I put their favorite treat inside the net and stuck to net in the water. They all hid, then after a few minutes of temptation one brave fish risked to net to have a nibble. After that they all came. I waited for the fish I wanted to swim in then gently brought the net to the top. It was less stressful for everyone.
Since I have been putting their food in the net when I feed them. Now instead of hiding when the net comes out they get excited.
