Either would do equally well with tiger barbs given proper tank size.

I think they have a 29 but somewhere it said they would be upgrading in the future.

Then your answer is gonna be a single firemouth, and even then a 29 is pushing it. Definitely not a blue acara

Rams but Idk if they'd get along with barbs don't know much about barbs

I had rams and barbs together with no issues. The barbs didnt even bother the rams or vice versa.
