bushynose pleco need quick reply

Ok so I'm buying a bushynose pleco today and it was in a quarantine tank for ick is there a chance it still has ick and transfer it into my tank? And its going in with my african cichlids

Ok so all I have is an empty ten gallon should I set up a quarantine tank and if yes how long should I keep him separated

I'd recommend QTing any new fish before introduction to a healthy system. General rule for Ich is 28 days. If it doesn't manifest in that time, it should be safe. Bear in mind though that most fish carry diseases. Healthy fish have healthy immune systems that keep them at bay.
