Can't tell if my cichlids is holding or not

How large is the fish? Looks fairly small.

What are the tank mates? Do you have males of this species? Ratios will help, better pictures will help even more. Typically a mouth brooder will hold for 3-4 weeks

Hey I have no problem admitting I'm wrong. I should known not to disagree with freak gecko by now anyway.

And layzor, I doubt anyone will be executed. At most freak gets an obligatory "hah told you so" lol. My mistake really, I just didn't see the hap shape. I should know better than to be so certain on a fuzzy picture too. All credit due to freakgecko.
 
It's all good, no hard feelings, no "i told you so"'s needed. I'm not always right by any means and definitely know what it feels like to be on the other end of that.
 
I'm a little late, but I second the nimbochromis polystigma id and it is definitely too young to have spawned yet.
