Cichlids

I just got a 35G tank and I wanted to make this tank into a planted Cichlids tank. I have two freshwater tanks right now and I was wondering if theres anything special to cichlids? Also is my tank big enough for them because i was read that most grow pretty big? And im open to any suggestions.

This depends of what type of cichlids you are considering. African cichlids are quite different from New World cichlids.

Since you mention plants, I would think you are considering New World/CA/SA cichlids?

What tyoe would be the best fit for the size of the tank.

SA for 35. I can think of dwarf cichlids, angels, convicts, firemouths, and a whole bunch more I cannot come up with right now.
