Convict cichlid mother mouthing fry

My convict cichlids have spawned but my female is taking fry in her mouth. The fry are released a few minutes latter but they seem dead or stunned. Is this normal? Should I do something?

From what I was told they carry them in they're mouths to protect them I've never had any but the guy that told me has an all cichlids tank

It's perfectly normal.The female is simply moving the fry out of danger or to where she thinks they are safer.She won't hurt them.Mine does this every time but the catfish usually get the fry in the end.
