Branches look good. That's some bubble wall ya got there!! I wouldn't add a crawfish it won't last IMO. Others may have different opinions but I wouldn't do it.

Okay so I am an hour early to my favorite lfs in st.Louis mo. I am here to talk to them about my custom 700 gallon build. I am purchasing a home specifically to build this tank. My apartment is over flowing I have 6 tanks in it currently. The 55 is my largest.

Some of my fish.

Its algae that grows in a hard colony. I cant scrape it of the glass and the algae eaters cant even get it. It takes two hours just to use a razor and scrape it.

Hmmmm... Have you check phosphates? What's your lighting schedule?

I'm growing algae on purpose right I've increased my light schedule to do so.

Yes the phosphates are high because I use plant food for my plants in this tank. Also there is iron in the sand for the plants. I am trying to get them to grow. I just planted Lilly pads.. I know Malawi cichlids are not plant friendly but I have a green thumb. The algae gets this way sometimes but I take my time and scrape it. It does not bother me lol
