I have 2 breeding pair of convicts and the one pair just had baby's . The male is protecting the baby's and beating on my other pair I have 5 other juvenilesin that tank and they are all hiding what should I do???

Separate. Either buy another tank, or rehome the breeding pair, or keep the pair and rehome the rest. Cons are extremely violent at spawning and more than likely will kill the other fish

The thing is that all these fish have had fry before and they were fine .I just don't understand why this time it's different.

What size tank add lots of caves and rocks

The attackers feel more compelled to attack since they have fry to protect.
