cross breeding???

I was wondering if Protomelas taeniolatus could breed with PROTOMELAS STEVENI TAIWAN REEF. I only have the 1 steveni taiwan reef that is a female and 3 red empress. ONe red empress is a male and the other two are female. They have been breeding for a couple of months now and it looks like the steveni taiwan reef may be holding. is this possible... what does everyone think of this.
