Demasoni cichlid w danios and glo barb?

Will a single male demasoni cichlid do good with 5 danios and a glo barb? So far they seem to be doing great together.

In the long run no demosonis get really aggressive and should only be kept with other aggressive cichids.

He might kill the glo fish.for the Danios it really depends what kind of danio. if it's a giant danio then it ok if its a zebra danio its most likely is gonna be harassed.

I have 5 long fined blue danios they stick together. Plus there are two very small white dots on my cichlid do you think he has ich? What do I do if so? And I have plenty of places for him to hide. Does gravel substate work we'll with these fish?

Since they swim in a school they will help each other stay save. If you sent me a picture of the fish with ich I can tell you. If he does there are all different kinds of ich cure go to your local pet store and ask.

As soon as the Demasoni gets mature the Glo fish will end up snacks for sure. The Danios may and may not get attacked but the chances will probably be pretty high. Danios like to play and fin nip and a Demasoni may not see it that way. I would like to say I haven't tryed these combos and sometimes you could be very surprised. So you'll never really know till you try it but I'd recommend against it. Like stated above they should really only be stocked with aggressive Cichlids.

I'm pretty sure if its just a couple little dots its not ich. Where are you seeing these dots? And can you upload a picture?

For the substrate anything will work but lake Malawi Cichlids prefer to have sand.

Yeah thanks for all the input. It's an interesting mix so far. I will take a pic tomorrow but I see one spec on his side fin and like one on his side I was thinking it was food. I will keep an eye on him. He keeps spitting out his food too. Is that normal?

The eating thing is not normal. What are you feeding it? African Cichlids will eat you out of the house if you let them

How big is the fish? I'm kinda surprise by that at less its really small. Try giving him a couple peas just take the outer shell of before breaking it up in the tank.

It doesn't look like he has ich, I can't even see any spots on the picture. It's hard to tell how big it is but going off of the gravel it looks like it should be able to eat the 1mm pellets but again its hard to tell size. Try giving him peas that have been frozen and then thawed out ( it makes them soft) then take the outer shell off as best as you can and put little pieces into the tank to see if it eats it. You can also try omega one spirlina flakes. I think that's what its called it may say algae

That could be it aswell. He may still be trying to adjust to the new surrounding and food. Give him time they can go a long time without food so don't worry to much. It looks healthy in the pic
