Dividing the tank

Hi guys, I have some electric yellows in which are pregnant and want to divide one section of my tank for the babies. I am not sure what I can and can't put into the tank. Would I be able to use just fibre glass fly screen mesh? If not could you please tell me what would. I do not want to put a glass divider in the tank. Thanks

I'm pretty sure fiber glass is poisonous to fish, not positive.


I'd use egg crate/light diffuser with screen mesh over it

Thanks, that's a great idea! By screen is it meant like the fly screen I was talking about?

petco and petsmart have tank dividers that fit up to 55 gallons, and come with a screen divider. i cut one down to fit my 10 and it works great. they come with clips to hold them in place. i think it was 15 bucks and the screen is pretty fine

you could always try asking your local fish store, or ordering some online
