They really vary on hardiness, I've had stock from adequate different places and always the blue rams are the but kicker of the tank

One could argue that color morphs do play a role in the genes that also affect temperament, like in the case of the electric blue rocio octofasciata (jack Dempsey)

My baenschis growth has taken off. He's now competing with the panduro as my favorite.

Very possible. I picked them up at an auction, you never really know what you're gonna find!

Nice, I don't know much about GCCA other than it's one of the biggest (and best) clubs in the country.

Down here, the Atlanta club is where it's at.

Yea I've never been to a club function but know a few members and impressive setups would be an understatement

Well, open up as much space as you possibly can! You won't be sorry! :P

Last Atlanta auction I picked up a 4 pack of F1 Krobia xinguensis... and we aren't even explicitly a cichlid club!

The discussion about whether Community should get more tanks has been moved to its own thread here: http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums...ks-278964.html

Let's keep this thread on the topic of dwarf cichlids, please.

Thinking about setting up a ten gallon in my room. Planning on stocking it with some apistogramma and cories, anyone know a good type?

I absolutely love Shell Dwellers and they can easily live in a small tank. They can be expensive, and most aren't very colorful but they are gorgeous none the less.

Always match the fish to your natural PH, not the other way around. Modifying PH can become a hastle and often times, if you screw up, will kill your fish. That being said, 7.6 should be alright.
