I have had a tire track eel, bala shark and bristlenose catfish together for 4 years in a 270L/71g tank and just last week added 4 african cichlids and they leave my other fish alone. They fight amongst each other sometimes though and my bigger Yellow Lab never leaves my smaller one alone. The eels fine though, i just hand feed him frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimps.
