Fire mouth aggression

I've been noticing that one fire mouth(I call him cranky) anyway... He's been showing a lot of aggression towards the convicts and the other FM. He seems to have claimed a little cave and he sits there and comes in and out as others approach, and if you get close enough, look out!! He or her puffs up the bottom of his/her chin and it gets really red and gives chase all around the tank to kinda let the others know stay away!!

It's amazing to watch and see one of my convicts test the FM every now and then. The convict is bigger but seems to want no part for now anyway. It's interesting to watch.

Was just wondering if there is cause for concern or is this just normal behavior in my little fish world.

EDIT: No nipping or anything. Just chasing. And playing peek a boo.

Anyone? Is this normal? Should I be concerned? He's a big bully. If you go near his cave... LOOK OUT!!

i'm NOT an expert by any means!! but from what i know of them, they are very territorial & can be nasty.

i've seen one FM turn the other into a swimming skeleton lol

if its not hurting anyone though, i'd think you're ok. but again, not an expert.

Yeah not hurting anyone just seems to have found his little home I side the aquarium.
