We get all sorts of odds and ends in with the minnows. This little guy came in a month or so ago and was insanely tiny, but I could at least identify he was a cichlid even though he was a wee speck. Anyone have any idea what type? Someone suggested he might be a dwarf cichlid of some sort, but I haven't been able to find anything totally spot on.. and the pictures don't fully show it but his dorsal fin is getting a red hue.

Any help appreciated. :)

he was being sold as a feeder????? he's to pretty to be eaten :) sorry but i don't know what type of cichlid although it looks like its going to stay pretty small but i could be wrong. id love to hear what others have to say though :)

I think he just got mixed in at the fish farm before the shipment came in, so my boss gave him to me. :)

Hmm, I will look into that. Thanks guys. :)

Definitely an Apisto possibly borelli, but if it gets any more red/orange in the unpaired fins it could be macmasteri. About how big is it now?
