Sorry for all these threads, just enthusiastic.. I have a small tank 60 litre tank 13 uk gallons (15 us)

I have african cichlids, when I buy new fish at the LFs they are small around 1 inch.. I have adult fish in the main tank and I don't want them eaten..

How many fish should I keep at once?
And at what size should I move them up. (Bearing in mind the largest fish is a full grown venustus and adult VC 10 hap)

I had a 3ft with 13 inhabitants and 2 large cichlid rocks. They all went well for 12 months. I think 3 inches would be ok but im no expert.
