Help!! Advice for a 65g peacock set up.

So I have an unknown variety of peacock cichlid and have decided to set my 65g hex to accommodate his habitat. I was given this little guy and I decided to keep him instead of rehome him. I know absolutely nothing about African cichlids, but I'm a jack of all trades aquarist and have kept all types of tanks from black water to brackish to marine- lol, and once I'm done this adventure in African cichlids I'm going to redo my BC29 and make a nano reef with coral and inverts only. All of that being said, I need some help with:

A) What rift lake am I dealing with?

B) Does anyone have any experiences with 65g peacock builds that could share their success story?

C) What is there for natural habitat decor?

Thanks to any and all in advance for any and all responses!!

Peacocks are from Malawi lake and like sandy and rock bottoms. Unfortunately they like swimming area so a hex isn't ideal for them.

Thank you. I also have a 60g regular and a parallel thread about a peacock and a convict... If you have any opinions on mixing habitats
