So I have set my tank up fully, but have run out of ideas for what else I should put in.

It is a 220L (58g) tank, lots of rocks, cichlid caves and such.
As it stands I have 4x Bristlenose, 1 Green Texas, 1 Jack D, 1 Rainbow cichlid, 1 Green Terror, 1 Rusty cichlid [he is very agressive], and an old clown loach.
I'm not sure what else, if any, I should add. Maybe a convict or something?

please note, long term size not an issue as I will upgrade tank when fix get too big

If you get the bigger tank now, you won't have to worry about new territory disputes later on.

And going from a 220L to a 8-10 footer is a big jump so you need to decide what your centerpiece fish will be. There are way too many choices for a tank that large.

Pic your centerpiece fish for the 6 foot. Which fish do you like the most? I'm assuming you are talking about a 180g tank (6x2x2)
