My fish above is still hiding but comes out at night

And now not eat it done 3day now

I don't no wot it is
Or male or female

The tank mates r below

Red Zebra = maylandia Estheras x4
Kenya Cichlids =Pseudotropheus Lombardoi x 5
Melanochromis Auratus x 3
Brist nose cat fish x 2

My tank is 150 L
Temperature 25c 26c or 77F 78F
1 inch black sand
Ocean rock
Filter is a EFX 300

Feed is (jbl). Novo Malawi flakes. And. (New life) spectrum cichlid formula

My new Mbuna rarely show themselves (let alone eat) for about a week.

Don't worry about it, just remember that they dot eat for 3 weeks when holding so anything less than that is easily manageable for them.

Well okay didn't know that I have had anout one week how often should I feed them

And is it male or female

Xxx

I feed mine every other day (makes cleaning less of a task), but you could feed them 2/3 times a day if you want.

Since quite a few Mbuna are Monomorphic (the males and female look the same) the only proper way to tell the sexes is to vent them.

To vent a Cichlid you need to look at the underside of the fish for 2 holes.

The females will have one small hole (for poop) and one large hole (for eggs).

The males will have 2 small holes.

Obviously with Dimorphic fish (males and females look different), it's obvious.

There are plenty videos online for guides on how to vent your fish if you're interested.

?

Okay thank you I'll start feeding them every three days as the Bristol nos only get fed every three days

Thank you for your help x

The fish in the 2nd pic is hiding and not eating because she is holding, she may come out and pick at food a bit here and there but she won't actually eat again until she spits the fry.
