Holding yellow lab needs to spit...

I have a yellow lab that is holding, she has had the fry in her mouth for at least 3 weeks. I don't want to move her and strip her as I already have a tank full of fry. She is looking like she barely has energy to swim in the current from my power head. Are there any signs I should or could look for that she is going to spit soon? I have her and two other females that I am re homing very soon so I do not get over run with fry. Any help?
