[Cichlid ism]

I am interested to purchase a true parrot cichlid. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they very aggressive?

They're quite peaceful from what I've read. They also get pretty large. A pair needs at the very minimum a 6 footer. They're also not easy to breed, and therefore most are wild caught which makes them hard to find as well

Really cool fish.

Always wanted to keep them but was never willing to dedicate the tank space needed.

Gets pretty big.

I found a guy on aquabid that has some wild caught around 3"-4" and selling them $45 a piece.

That's not a terrible price, not a super great deal. They are a pretty rare species, although I've seen them for sale locally before

What store? The only one I've seen them at is Preuss' in East Lansing
