ok so i have had these guys for a few months now. the one just got his colour and they are both similiar but a little different. one seem to have a more slanted head, and the colour is a little different. here they are. the top one is my first time holding mother

It looks like a sunshine peacock (aulonocara baenschi) http://www.aiconline.it/spaziosoci/foto/malawi/imagepages/image6.htm. But that is a guess only. LOL.

the first link looks pretty close. the difference between the middle and second one in that the middle one has a much more slanted head. the body is also more orange compared the more yellowish of the bottom one. good guesses so far. keep em coming.

however this one more yellowish, i believe there is quite a bit of variation in body colour.

There is a lot of variation in the body color of the baenschi Defekt. I have seen several colors ranging from very orange to very yellow.

that one looks to yellow. lol there are wayyyy to many species of peacock lol. i will keep looking to.
