Looks like a kind of mbuna a closer pic might make it easer to tell the specific species.

I'll try to get a better shot he is male I know that much, can tell by his behavior.

I'm guessing you we're referring to the mbuna in the middle with dark vertical bars and what looks to be a olive color? Does he turn bright yellow in the dorsal and tail fin?

Yep that one and yes he has yellow in the dorsal and tail fin tips

This is a pic of my mbuna in an excited state.

Possibly Metriaclima sp. mbweca. (Kawanga gold zebra). Not sure, but maybe when he matures and shows his true colors more.

Polish up the outside of the aquarium and try to get an up close pic of the fish in question.

I'm not sure, but somebody else will see it and be able to give you a positive ID. repost another pic if the colors come out more in time.

Same here we gotta figure this out lol. Are yours aggressive, mine came into my tank thinking he was boss lol

Mine dont seem to agressive...but my tank is very over crowded...i have 25ish fish in my 60 gallon. And i have alot of hiding places.

Sorry to hijack this post, but I just picked up two albinos like in the first set of pictures. Are these hybrids? White with red eyes. Correct name? Got them at Petco's assorted $2.99 sale going on right now. Thanks.
