I rescued this fish from some stupid kid while I was shopping for a new tank on the classifieds. He had it in a thirty gallon, with a Jack Dempsey, a Six Barred lamprologus, a Convict, and a Electric Blue hap. It was malnourished, sunken gut, pitched fins, but had good colors, so I bought it off him. His tank water looked like crap too. Anyway, he was convinced that it is an SP44, meanwhile, I'm pretty darn sure it's a Pundamilia Nyererie. Am I wrong? By the way, it likes a million times healthier since I have had him.

Tomato red cichlid look it up on google and make sure

Huh, so your thinking it's an sp 35, it does look very similar, although it looks exactly like a P. Nyererie I had before.

What is the difference between these fish? I.E. Pundamilia Nyererie, Hap. Sp35, hap sp44. Is it locations, and coloring? Are they a different Genus? Or different species?
