ID please. Can't seem to get a solid ID

I think it is female and might be holding also. Not sure tho. She doesn't seem to be really opening her mouth. I have seen her slightly open it to suck in some flakes at best. She is somewhat active and does still chase from time to time.

Pseudotropheus socolofi but it might be a hybrid. Did you get it from an assorted tank?

I have one that looks just like yours and that's what I bought it as. Its definitely a elongatus of something.

I got it as a assorted shipment from a online breeder. What you see is when it is lightened up. Normal she is a a lot darker blue/black.

Not holding it's got the pushed in face like a Kenyi cichlid. But not sure on id or female or male though.
