ID this fish before I buy it.

I saw this fish at PetSmart tonight and I want it bad. I think it is some kind of OB Zebra hybrid but I am not sure. Any ideas? It is yellow and grey and looks cool. It was in with aggresive cichlids and they were picking on it.

Well, it looks like some hybrid honestly. But if you do buy it i would quarentine it and treat it before putting it in your tank because of the ecouraging dead fish in the tank behind the fish in the picture as razorbacksfan said.

If I cant get some kind of idea at least in general what it is I'm not gonna buy it. I wont risk my other Mbuna to have a fish that I dont know what it is.

Looks like an OB Zebra to me....possibly a hybrid, but not sure what of though. I probably wouldn't buy it, since you don't know what its a hybrid of.

Probably not gonna. Not easy for me to resist an impulse buy! Cool looking fish though.

I agree that it's a cool looking fish, but honestly wouldn't risk it.

one thing you can say is he is miserable.... he has almost no tail left and his other fins look a bit nipped

then his eyes looking at you like this "help me"

I didnt buy him. But someone else has. Hope he got a good home.
