So everything I do to my cichlid tank looks like crap. I need help.
Here's what I have. It's a 40 breeder

Tanks a bit cloudy because I just moved the rocks.

Throw 10 tiger barbs in there. I love tiger barbs. Always up to something. Then you need a red fin shark for an accent. And perhaps a few cories for cleanup...

Are your Blue Acaras in that tank? Might explain why they look a bit unsettled, I'm not sure BA's match the aggression levels of many of the Africans.

Yeah they are in with the Africans. I know they shouldn't be but it's only temporary until I get a new tank. The acaras aren't even bothered by the Africans.
