Iinterested in cichlids

Hello my name is matt and I jhave a 40 gallon breeder African cichlid tank. I joined the site to see what I can learn about my awesome cichlids.

I have five. Eureka peacock,elongated johonass, OB peacock,an orange one that I don't know and a tan one with black sdftrips on its fins

Ya, nice eureka red, but they really need a 75 gallon tank or larger because they claim a large territory. Ruby red peacocks are alright in a 40 breeder, few others too, but most really do need more space.

That is a yellow lab. (Labidochromis caeruleus)

It doesn't make sense he's/she's a yellow lab but it's not a yellow its a tan/brown color with black accents on its fins.

It is definitely a lab, its probably a female with very little color. How long ago did you get it?

There are diffent colors of yellow labs. Some types have white bellies, some no white at all. Others have darker fins. Sme have brighter yellows.

OK I think might might be a female because its tan and brown but with the colors of a yellow. I will try to get a better pic.

Is this the same fish from the second pic up top? This looks nothing like a lab... I have no clue what it is though...
