Is there such a fish?

I know, dumb question.... I am looking for an African cichlid ( Malawi ) that will stay blue when it is grown or one that will turn blue! I just realized that my kenyi is a male because he's turning yellow! I have a 40 B so I'd like to get something that would max out at around 5". Thanks!

Female kenyi are blue with the same black bars as the male.

Demasoni is your best bet. They are beautiful blues and more of a new find. Also you need to make sure you feed all fish a well rounded diet. Veggie flakes help. Demasoni cichlids are what you are looking for and make sure you get at least three. Mine like to school together.

That is true though the ones I saw at Dallas north aquarium were fairly sizable. I agree blue Kenyi are awesomeness also electric blues though they tend to be very shy and hide.
