Exclamation Jelly Bean Parrot and Cave

I have a 55 gallon tank with 2 JBP and for the last month or so they seem to be acting as a pair. The one JBP has claimed the cave and the other has cleaned up around it and guards it, can anyone explain why? They act as if the are going to have fry. They dont chase each other away from the area just other tank mates.....

Are we talking about short bodied pink convicts or dyed blood parrots here?

It's very possible they are getting ready oredge already laid the eggs(look for them stuck to something usually on the roof of a cave) and they both will guard the fry. The short body is just a recessive gene but they will breed just like any other convict.
