I just got some new kribs and they, especially the female, keep pestering my 3 apple snails. She is constantly nipping at them and the snails are forced to hide in their shells. They used to roam around all the time eating but now that they have to stay "home" I'm wondering if they might starve. Has anyone seen kribs do this to their snails? Do you guys think my snails might die from this abuse?

Yes....I've seen 'kribensis' nibble on larger snails and actually pull smaller snails right out of their shells. Yes....your snails might die from this abuse. Somebody will probably have to go into another tank.

Oh my. I'm giving my snails to a neighbor until I get my 10 gal running. Thanks for the warning. :|
