Ive been loking around on these forums and have seen that actinic blue bulbs really show african colouration.I have a 55 gal with fake plants, normal hood and lights.Theres 2 bulbs 18'' and each fixture says 17w on the back, which means i can use a max 17 watt bulb right?Anyways these are the ones im interested in:

Would those do a good job or should i get two 50/50's?

Thanks for any replies!!!

I personally recommend t-5 lighting...

its a double strip 10,000k daylight and true actinic 03 blue flouorescents

it might be a lil over kill for a african tank but i enjoy it on my tank, and i believe it really brinsg out the sheem on the fish that otherwise could go unnoticed
