Hi. I am wondering if anyone can help me? Just got a new tank. Measures 110cm in length, 30cm in width and 52cm in hight. (171 litre I think) and I am very interested in starting a Malawi tank as we call it here in SA. I think some people may say, "Mbuna". Please can I have all specs possible on a tank for these fish? Plants, rocks, number of fish, care etc.

Thanks
Sean

Sean, you have a tank that's about 43" in length, close to the standard 48" for a 55g. the height doesn't matter to mbuna if you don't have rocks stacked to the top of the tank.
regarding decor, rocks and sand are excellent choices (as you probably know). but don't tell that to travis simonson, who has perfected the art of keeping live plants with them  .
now as to fish, there are numerous possible combinations. i'd suggest you browse some of the standard cichlid-based sites and see what you like.
