I'm glad to see that AA is back online and active.

It makes me so jealous to see everyone with pictures of their tanks. Mine is sitting in storage back in Canada. I'm here in East Africa and the most exotic thing I can get at an aquarium store is the occasional convict cichlid.

Keep posting pictures. At least I can dream.

Dream away...

Hope you enjoy my tank!

Thanks.

hey ks... what are those fish.... i know the albino oscar but what are the other 4?... and how big is that tank?

Top is a lima shovelnose cat, 2nd pic is a Jack Dempsey with the Oscar. And the bottom pic is of a pike cichlid.

well thank you... that helps alot... im still trying to figure out what tankmates i can have with my oscars...

No Jack's in those pictures. The 2nd pic is actually a large spot bleekeri, which is from Madagascar. The tank is 120 gallons and has an XP3 and a monster wet/dry underneath for filtration.

Nice tank! Man, I am really jealous. I just can't bear to have goldfish when living beside the rift valley.

I had an oscar before, and they can go well with a lot of other cichlids.....just not ones that are bite-sized.

you know ive READ alot about the aggressiveness of oscars... but ive personally SEEN at least 10 or 12 tanks with less than ideal tankmates for oscars that are thriving... im wondering if they just have a bad rep and theyre not as bad as people say... either way i love em and cant wait to have em
