First one looks like some sort of Haplochromis or Pundamilia species and the second one is Protomelas taeniolatus (Red).

Could the first one be a thick skin obliquiden or something like that I just happened to be reading about them last night.

Haplochromis sp. "#44" thickskin? If that's the one you're thinking of then no.
