my lfs aren't very bright when it comes to fish. And i have no knowledge of rams, so they can literally sell me 2 males and not know.. Lol. I'll ask around a bit. Thanks!

Just to throw another idea out there for ya. I have a 37 with a school of Tiger barbs and a pair of Honduran Red Points. This setup has worked very well for me.
