Real happy with the way it looks now that the rocks have grown some algae on them. My fish seem more at ease and less aggressive that when I had slate rocks in there.

I like what is going on there.
Since you asked, I would say 2 things. First, put in some kind of structure (wood) into the water column up to the surface. Second, just go with an all black backdrop. Trust me there. Let your scape stand out. Your labs will also pop out by doing that.
