New to cichlids

I have a standard 25 gallon tank which has four mollies in it, and four corys, and one bristlenose, and one betta. I plan to give the corys to someone with a larger tank and more corys. I would love to get some cichlids. I've only had one angel once and it died from some fungus infection I believe. What cichlids would you recommend for this tank? It is heated, and has a sandy bottom. I could potentially give away the four mollies and the betta if necessary, but I'd like to keep the bristlenose. I'm open to ANY ideas so just lemme know. I'm beginning to do research on cichlid requirments but I also want to have an idea of what I'll have in the tank. Ok, thanks for the help in advance.

I'm no cichlid expert but i do know this, put dwarf cichlids such as rams in because they're not aggressive, african cichlids are to aggressive for a community aquarium.

There are a large variety of dwarf cichlids you can fit in that tank. Your africans are definately too aggressive and large for that tank as mentioned.
