New to cichlids, need advice!

I have a 150 gallon tank that I'd like to set up as a cichlid tank, ( I also have a 90 gallon fresh water tank with assorted tropical ) but don't have the confidence to get it done! I only literally have the tank and stand, and have to acquire everything else and that's where the confusion comes in. Any advice by fellow enthusiasts will be greatly appreciated! Filter? Substrate? Lighting? Etc!
