So I have a 55 gallon and am thinking about getting a Oscar, I had one when I was a beginner and it ate all my fish haha, but that was a while ago I have been in the fish hobby for AGES now at least 6 years and I was wondering would it be benifical to buy both a Filster XP XL and a Aqua clear 110 with my already Eheim 2217 what would be the best opinion my goal is to have a really nice healthy Oscar so do you guys reckon should I get just 1 of the stated filters or both thanks!

I would run 2 if not 3 for an Oscar.
He will require lots of maintenance especially in 55.
With multiple filters you can clean 1 weekly and not disturb the BB.
Good luck and welcome back to fishkeeping!
