Here's the tank after about 150 more pounds of holey rock. It's still a little cloudy.

I didn't move much of the rock in the center of the tank. The fish were all pretty much hunkered down in there while I was working on the ends. Before anyone asks, the base rocks are resting on eggcrate that I buried under the sand months ago. Anything's possible I suppose, but the fish shouldn't be able to topple these.

Looks like the cylindricus are most bothered by the change. Most of them are hiding. I'm not too surprised. The catfish and Cyps don't seem to mind a bit.

Love the petricola, I've read that lucippinis sometimes get sold as those but they are similar and both are pretty with the spots. I've Never seen them locally and online are always $15 each plus shipping so not cheap...

I have read that too, and I don't know enough about them to know what I have for sure. I have a group of 7 and they are awesome little catfish though, so whatever they are, I think they are great. They do grow PAINFULLY slow, though. lol

Def a hybrid cause I breed lucippini and petricola the yellow in them are jaguar.... yes I love them all too I breed Synodontis

It looks like a Paracyprichromis nigripinnis, what's the difference?

As mentioned, it is Cyprichromis leptosoma blue flash. We have a group of 6. The person in our club who bred them is also breeding Paracyprichromis nigripinnis and had brought a bag of each. We chose the leptosoma. They don't really look all that similar other than the shape of the body. Cichlid Profiles

I know I have a 36 lb hunk and raising that from my 2' deep 39 gallon was extremely difficult
